1. Quotation Validity and Price Adjustments
All quotes provided by the Company are valid for the duration indicated on the quote. Prices are subject to change at any time due to fluctuations in manufacturer pricing, material costs, or changes in the scope of services required. In the event a quote has expired, please contact us at sales@rydergaragedoors.com to request an updated quote.
2. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full upon delivery of goods and/or completion of installation, unless a prior written agreement is made between the Company and the client. Failure to remit payment as agreed may result in additional fees and collection action.
A non-refundable deposit of fifty percent (50%) is required on all custom-ordered garage doors at the time the order is placed. No custom orders will be processed or scheduled for installation until the deposit has been received. Custom orders include any product that is specially sized, uniquely finished, or otherwise manufactured to order. The remaining balance is due upon delivery and/or completion of installation.
3. Warranty on Workmanship
The Company provides a limited one (1) year warranty on workmanship for all new product installations. This warranty covers defects in workmanship under normal use and service conditions and begins on the date of installation.
This warranty does not cover:
- Defects or damage resulting from manufacturer flaws (covered under the manufacturer’s separate warranty)
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, vandalism, or improper maintenance by the client
- Damage due to force majeure events including but not limited to natural disasters, weather events, fire, or acts of God
- Modifications or repairs not performed by Ryder Garage Doors, LLC
Warranty claims must be submitted in writing to the Company within the warranty period. Ryder Garage Doors, LLC will, at its discretion, repair or correct any covered defect. No other warranties, expressed or implied, are provided beyond this scope.
4. Manufacturer Warranties
For issues or defects related to products sold and installed by Ryder Garage Doors, LLC, the client must refer to the manufacturer’s warranty terms specific to the purchased model. The Company is not liable for product failures due to manufacturing defects.
Ryder Garage Doors, LLC honors all active manufacturer warranties for products it sells and installs, and will assist clients in the submission of valid claims when applicable. Any decisions regarding coverage, repair, or replacement under a manufacturer’s warranty remain at the sole discretion of the product manufacturer.
5. Product Samples and Color Selection
By accepting a quote—whether in writing, electronically, or verbally—the client acknowledges that they have reviewed and approved product samples, colors, and textures, or that a sample was not required. No refunds or credits will be issued for dissatisfaction with color or material selections once the order has been placed.
6. Site Preparation and Access Requirements
The client is responsible for ensuring that the installation site is fully accessible. This includes clearing the driveway of vehicles, debris, snow, and/or ice, and ensuring the garage interior is free of obstructions. The installer requires adequate workspace, including a clear area beneath the open garage door. Failure to provide appropriate access may delay installation and incur additional fees.
When door disposal is included in the quoted service, the Company will remove and discard old materials resulting from the installation.
7. Exclusions and Limitations
Unless explicitly stated in the contract, the following are not included:
- Carpentry, electrical work, painting, or framing
- Structural modifications or lumber replacement
- Connection or modification of existing electrical systems
The Company is not liable for damage to concealed infrastructure (e.g., electrical wiring, plumbing, or HVAC systems) hidden behind sheetrock, plaster, or other finished surfaces.
8. Electrical Requirements
It is the client’s responsibility to provide a grounded electrical outlet in compliance with manufacturer specifications at the appropriate location for opener installation. Use of extension cords or plug adapters voids the manufacturer and labor warranties. Additionally, damage due to power surges, electrical disturbances, or lightning strikes is not covered under any warranty.
Ryder Garage Doors, LLC will not reconnect or service any garage door opener system that does not comply with UL 325 safety standards. The client assumes all liability for operating non-compliant systems.
9. Vehicle Integration Systems
The Company makes no guarantee that built-in vehicle garage door remote systems (e.g., Homelink®) will be compatible with new garage door openers. Clients are encouraged to consult their vehicle owner’s manual, the garage door opener manufacturer’s instructions, or visit www.homelink.com for additional information.
10. Pre-existing Conditions and Installation Limitations
Ryder Garage Doors, LLC is not responsible for issues resulting from pre-existing site conditions. This includes but is not limited to:
- Unlevel, broken, or sloped garage floors that prevent the door from sealing properly
- Water intrusion due to drainage problems or structural design flaws
- Out-of-square or non-plumb garage openings, which may cause the door to appear misaligned
- Damage to bottom seals or weatherstripping caused by arched or angular garage openings
New installations will be completed level and in accordance with industry standards. Adjustments will not be made to accommodate irregular existing structures unless specified in writing prior to installation.
11. Additional Terms
Additional or modified terms and conditions may apply to specific projects and will be provided in writing when applicable. These Terms and Conditions are subject to change without prior notice.
Disclaimer of Additional Warranties
Except as expressly set forth herein, Ryder Garage Doors, LLC makes no other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. No oral or written information or advice given by the Company or its authorized representatives shall create a warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
